
THE BASILICA OF SANTA CROCE IN LECCE
The Minor Basilica of the Holy Cross in Lecce has a whole century of history to tell – a century during which Baroque art flourished and triumphed on the pediment of this beautiful church, essentially built in two separate phases, one in the late 1500s and one in the 1600s.

THE BASILICA OF SANTA CATERINA D'ALESSANDRIA IN GALATINA
The basilica of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, one of the most outstanding monuments of Apulian and Gothic Romanesque art in Puglia, is a building in the historic center of Galatina.

THE CATHEDRAL OF OTRANTO AND THE MOSAIC
The mosaic of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata of Otranto covers the floor of the three naves and is the work of the monk Pantaleone, executed on commission by the Bishop of Otranto, between 1163 and 1165. It represents one of the most important mosaic cycles of the Italian Middle Ages.

THE CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA DELLA CROCE (CASARANELLO) IN CASARANO
The church of Santa Maria della Croce is a cult building in Casarano, in Puglia. Example of early Christian architecture, it preserves 5th century mosaics in the presbyteral area and frescoes from the Byzantine period. The church is dedicated to Santa Maria della Croce, whose anniversary falls on the third Sunday of October.

REGIONAL NATURAL PARK OF SANT'ANDREA ISLAND AND COAST OF PUNTA PIZZO
Colorful environmental mosaic, the Island of Sant’Andrea and the coast of Punta Pizzo Park is home to the only nesting colony of the Gull running along the entire Adriatic and Ionian side of Italy. The coast of Punta Pizzo, on the other hand, boasts an interesting environmental mosaic made up of a beach, Mediterranean scrub, Mediterranean pseudo-steppes, wet and marshy environments.

REGIONAL NATURAL PARK OF PORTO SELVAGGIO AND PALUDE DEL CAPITANO
The Porto Selvaggio and Palude del Capitano regional natural park is a protected natural area of Puglia located in the province of Lecce established with the regional law of 15 March 2006, n. 6. In 2007 it was included by the Italian Environment Fund in the list of "100 places to save".
